Creating your club website

Every club can have a free, phone-friendly website. The schedule, announcements and fees come straight from BuPay, so there is almost nothing to keep up to date. Its settings are split into Page, Forms and Inbox.

  • Where to create it

Create it in the Website step of the first setup, or later under Club › Website. Club admins and organisation admins can edit it; managers can only view it. If you have unsaved changes, you're asked before leaving the page.

Tip: During setup the site is published before you continue to payouts, because Stripe asks for the organisation's website and uses this URL.
  • The URL locks once published

Pick a URL of 3–40 lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens. You can change it until you first publish; after that it's fixed. While the site is unpublished, the URL shows nothing.

  • What fills in automatically

Using BuPay as usual keeps the site current.

    • Schedule: confirmed games and practices
    • Announcements: posts with “Also post on the website” turned on (club and organisation admins only). Their photos become public, and the cover is shown as a single 16:9 frame
    • Fees: membership plans, the entry fee and sports insurance premiums (showing premiums is optional)
    • Trial OK sessions: events people can apply to try
  • Show or hide each section

Schedule, announcements, fees and trial sessions can each be switched off. A hidden section also disappears from the site's menu.

  • Member details stay private

Member names, attendance and payment status never appear. Only what the club chooses to publish is shown.

  • Top photo and About us

Without a top photo (optional, up to 5MB) the site shows a brand-colour band. About us (the club's intro) is required: write at least 40 characters right on the Page settings, or in the website step of setup.

  • Staff

Introduce your representative and coaches with name, role, age, bio and photo (up to 30). Staff are kept apart from BuPay accounts and can be shown or hidden one by one. Only upload photos you have consent to publish.

  • Venues

“From the schedule” lists up to 5 places used most in the last 180 and next 90 days of the schedule. “Enter myself” lets you add addresses, notes and map links.

  • Contact and social

Only what you fill in is shown; leave it all blank and the section is hidden.

    • LINE official account: a QR code on desktop, an add-friend button on phones
    • LINE ID, phone number and phone hours, another website. Phone numbers are stored in Japanese number format
    • E-mail: where enquiry replies come from; never shown on the site
  • Found by search engines

A published site appears in Google and other search results. There's no setting to hide it from search.

  • Preview and share

Check saved changes with Preview, even before publishing. Once published, copy the URL, print the QR code on flyers and notices, or share it on LINE.
