How announcements work

Announcements carry news to the members of your organisation, a club or a team. When published, members get them by push or email.

  • Who can post

Your role decides who you can post to.

    • Organisation admins: everyone in the organisation, and every club and team
    • Club admins: their clubs and those clubs' teams
    • Managers: their own teams
  • Publish or schedule

Publish now or schedule a date and time up to 60 days ahead. Members are notified when it's published.

  • Acknowledgements

Members can open an announcement and acknowledge it. The poster can see how many have and haven't.

  • Photos and files

Attached photos and files can only be seen by the announcement's audience. The exception: photos on an announcement with "Also post on the website" on can be seen by anyone on the website.

  • You're not in your own audience

Announcements you post don't appear in your own inbox or notifications.

  • Also post on the website

Turn it on and the announcement also appears under News on the club's website, with its photos made public. Turning it off makes the photos private to the audience again.

  • Reporting an announcement

Use "Report" under an announcement you received to flag it as inappropriate, with an optional reason. Reports go to the club admins, the organisation admins and the BuPay team. You can report each announcement once, and a report can't be withdrawn.
