BuPayBands from the date of birth
The rate table starts empty. Enter the age bands and premiums of your organisation's policy; while collection is on, the bands must cover ages 0 to 120 without gaps. Each member's band is worked out automatically from their age on April 1 (the first April 1 on or after the fiscal year start).
Once per organisation
Members on several clubs or teams of the same organisation are charged once per year.
Insurer and application form
No premiums are issued until the insurer or policy name is set; the name is also used for the premium charge. Members see the insurer, your note and the application form (a link or a file) on the team page and the invite page. Wherever a premium is shown to members, it carries the note "BuPay only collects the premium. Whether you are covered depends on your organisation's enrolment."
Separate from membership fees
Premiums are their own charges, so fees and premiums can be totalled and exported separately.
How sports insurance premiums work
BuPay issues your organisation's sports insurance premiums as insurance charges. The settings live on the Insurance tab in organisation settings and cover every club and team in the organisation. Collection is off by default. The band is worked out from age on April 1, and one premium is issued per organisation, member and year. BuPay only collects the premium; your organisation handles enrolment with the insurer and pays it. Whether anyone is covered depends on your organisation's enrolment.
