Create your organization, club and team, and add where payouts go.
Then you can start collecting right away.

1. Create the organization

On the first screen choose Create an organization, then enter the organization name and sport.

The sport sets the words on screen (game, activity, lesson…) and whether events have an opponent.

Next, choose whether to collect sports insurance premiums (off by default) and whether the organization pays the system usage fee or the members pay it.

Note: The sport can't be changed later.

2. Create a club and team

Choose what your first club collects (membership fees, per-game charges). Choosing both is fine.

If you collect membership fees, set the entry fee (optional), the plan kinds and your first plan next. Amounts start at ¥200.

Last, create your first team, the event types you use and your first event. You can change the details any time later.

Tip: If you stop halfway, pick up again from Resume setup on the dashboard.

3. Add your payout account

Receiving payouts is the last part of setup. It comes after inviting members and the website Stripe asks for (you can create one free).

Choose your business type, confirm the money is received for the group, and enter the representative's details. Then verify your identity and add a bank account on Stripe.

Tip: Teams without a legal entity: the representative (manager, coach, captain…) chooses "Sole proprietor or unincorporated club". No business registration is needed.

If something goes wrong

Can I create teams and events before adding the payout account?

Yes. Teams, events and members all work before then. Only collecting has to wait until the account is added.

Does BuPay store my bank details?

No. Stripe, which handles payments, checks your identity and bank account securely. BuPay never keeps your account details.

I picked the wrong sport

The sport can't be changed once saved. Please contact support.

Can I collect sports insurance premiums too?

Yes. Turn it on when you create the organization, or later under Insurance in organization settings (it's off by default). Enter the insurer's name and your rate table, and confirm that the organization handles enrolment and pays the insurer while BuPay only collects.

Do I need a website?

Stripe asks for the organization's website, so a website step comes before receiving payouts. Create one free on BuPay (at least 40 characters in About us) or enter the URL of the site you already have.
