Create weekly, fortnightly or monthly schedules in one go

Anything on the same weekday and time can be made as one repeating schedule: every week, every 2 weeks (counted from the first date) or monthly (the first date's week of the month, with a 5th week counted as the last). Matches work as well as practices. With a match type, each date starts with the opponent to be decided and you set it per date. The next four dates are always on the calendar and added automatically. Participants are either all plan members or the members you pick, and they get notified. Charges are never created automatically.

  1. Choose "Repeating"

On the first page of "Add game", choose "Repeating" and pick the type on the same page. A match type shows a note that each date starts with the opponent to be decided.

  2. Set the repeat and time

Under Repeat, choose every week, every 2 weeks or monthly, then enter the weekday, start, end, meet time and venue. Monthly repeats on the first date's week of the month. A line confirms the pattern and time (for example every Wed, every other Wed or every 2nd Wed) and that the next four dates are always scheduled. The name and coach go on the next step, Name & coach.

  3. Pick plans and participants

On Plans & fee, pick the covered plans from cards, then on Participants choose "All plan members" or "Selected members". With all plan members, anyone who joins a plan later is added from the next date created; with selected members, only the people you pick take part each time. "Ask who's coming" and "Trial OK" can be turned on on this step too.

  4. Review and create

Check the first dates and the participants, then press "Create repeating schedule".

  5. Done

Open the first date with "View game".

  6. See the repeating schedule

The game page shows which weekly schedule it belongs to and its plans. "Repeat settings" manages the whole series.

  7. Open Repeat settings

Shows the time, plans, fee and upcoming dates.

  8. Change one date

Edit a date and choose "This date only" as the scope.

  9. Save

Only that date changes, and it's marked as changed individually.

  10. Change this and later dates

"This and upcoming dates" changes the start, meet time and so on for every later date. The weekday can't change.

  11. Check the result

Later dates move to the new time; dates changed individually keep theirs.

  12. End the series

"End series" stops new dates and deletes upcoming ones that weren't changed individually. Past dates stay.

  13. Check it ended

The schedule is shown as ended.

FAQ

How do I collect from members who aren't covered?

Create a charge for them from each date's game page.

Will a deleted date come back?

No. A date you delete is never recreated.

Can a repeating schedule use a match type?

Yes. Each date starts with the opponent to be decided. Set it per date with "Set opponent" on the game page; that date then becomes its own and later series edits leave it alone.
