Defaults per type, and your own types

Every game has a type. Types come in two groups, games (Official match, Practice match, Cup, Friendly) and other activities (Practice, Lesson, Tournament, Camp, Event), and the club sets defaults per type: duration, meet time, fee, covered plans, whether there's an opponent, asking who's coming and Trial OK, plus the type's calendar colour. Clubs can add their own types too.

  1. Open how and what

Open "Add game" on the team and choose "Once-off" or "Repeating". The type is picked on the same page.

  2. Pick a type

Types are grouped into games and other activities, alongside your club's own types (such as an intra-squad game). A type with an opponent adds the opponent step next.

  3. Defaults fill in

Below the types, a line such as "Intra-squad game defaults" shows the duration, meet time and fee or covered plans it fills in.

  4. Enter the time and meet

On Date & venue, enter the start, end and meet time. The date starts on tomorrow. The meet time must be before the start.

  5. Choose the coach

On Name & coach, pick the coach from the organisation's admins and the team's managers. Everything on this step, name included, is optional.

  6. Choose covered plans

On Plans & fee, pick covered plans from cards tagged Standard, Everyone or Optional. Plan members you pick on the next step, Participants, are included in their membership and aren't charged.

  7. Check participants

The covered plans' members are listed; pick who's taking part. They're marked as included. If you set a fee, continue to the charge step.

  8. Open Team defaults

Defaults live under defaults per game type on the club's Team defaults tab. Each type's icon shows its calendar colour.

  9. Edit a type's defaults

Use the pencil to set the colour, duration, fee, opponent, meet time, covered plans, asking who's coming and Trial OK, press "Done", then "Save Settings". The colour comes from a palette of 12 and is used on the calendar.

  10. Add a type

"Add type" asks for a name, an icon, a colour and its group (game or other), and the same sheet's Defaults set the duration, fee, meet time, attendance check, Trial OK and covered plans. Switching the group swaps in matching defaults. The group can't be changed later.

Tip: Organisations whose sport has no opponent can only use the non-game group.
  11. See the new type

The new type (for example, a trial session) is available to every team in the club.

  12. Remove a standard type

Remove standard types you don't use and press "Save Settings". Games already created with them stay as they are.

  13. Restore a removed type

Bring it back from "Restore standard types" and press "Save Settings".
